Parental counseling

Parental counseling

``We stand by the needs of our students and their families``

At Chranioti Educational Centers, in Nea Smirni and Ilioupoli we stand by our students and their families and we believe that in order to master the learning part, it must be in balance with the psychological part. For this reason, both our students and parents are provided with a specialized counseling psychology programme.

The goal of Parental Counseling is:

  • Strengthening the sensitive psychology of our students.
  • The support and guidance of parents, so that they can effectively help their children in the course of their development, maturation and autonomy.
  • The correct and efficient management of their time, so that the studying for their courses pays off.
  • The adoption of practical and functional ways of thinking, in cases of intense stress (such as exam stress).

Thus, throughout the school year, students and parents have the opportunity to participate in individual meetings with the support of our educational psychologists. In this way, they will be able to be equipped with the appropriate mental tools, so that they can meet their daily demands with calmness and prudence.

They can also participate in the weekly experiential parenting seminars held at our Center. Through a pleasant group process, parents have the opportunity to share and process their experiences, thoughts and concerns with other parents, learn from each other and get support to deal with the difficulties they encounter every day .

The way we work in groups is experiential, which means that it is based on the active participation of group membersIn addition to input from group facilitators who provide information and facilitate group discussion and processes, participants have the opportunity to work in groupsand practice on experiential techniques (role games, communication exercises and open discussions).
